Vazhathandu Soup

Ingredients

Quantity

Plantain Stem

 

Green Chili

Pepper Powder

1 tsp

Salt

To taste


Instructions:

  1. Chop plantain stem roughly and keep in buttermilk.
  2.  Heat water in a vessel and drain the chopped plantain stem from buttermilk and add it in the water.
  3. Also add the green chilies to the water.
  4. After boiling, remove the green chilies and keep the water aside.
  5. Grind the boiled plantain stems. 
  6. Do not grind the chilies.
  7. In a vessel strain the grinded plantain stems and add little boiled water which we kept aside.
  8. Boil for few minutes and add salt and pepper powder.
  9. Plantain soup is now ready.
